Spotlight On: High Tech High's Graduate School of Education

2017 ARC attendees also had the opportunity to visit High Tech High as part of a series of Institutional Showcases.  Haley Murugesan, High Tech High’s Director of Student Affairs, and Kelly Wilson, the Administrative Dean and Director of the M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, welcomed participants to the Liberty Station campus.

Spotlight On: NewSchool of Architecture & Design

Innovation was on display for ARC participants who attended an Institutional Showcase at the NewSchool of Architecture & Design in San Diego’s East Village. NewSchool is home to a large population of international students, which makes for a very diverse student and faculty population. This diversity encourages creativity and robust learning as students consider a multiplicity of ideas, cultures, and approaches.

Spotlight On: Point Loma Nazarene University

Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU) is another institution that welcomed WSCUC ARC participants to its beautiful campus. All of the sessions were in the Fermanian Conference Center with large windows and spacious ocean views. But it wasn’t the great views and beauty that were most inspiring. It was the PLNU faculty and students sharing with us how they live one of their core values: “Service as an expression of faith.”
