Ronald Carter

Ronald Carter is professor of biology and provost (2008-present) at Loma Linda University, and Executive Vice President for University Affairs for Loma Linda University Health, a position he assumed in 2016. He previously served as vice chancellor for academic affairs (2006-2008), dean of the University's School of Science and Technology (2003-2006), and accreditation liaison officer (2006-2013) at Loma Linda University. Among his many professional affiliations are the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Institute for Biological Sciences, and the Society for the Study of Molecular Evolution and Systematics. He has published and presented widely in areas of microbiology, ecology and evolution. He holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Columbia Union College and a Ph.D. in biology from Loma Linda University.
