Eager to learn about the role of accreditation in supporting equitable student success through transfer, WSCUC and its partner Sova, will work with three WSCUC-accredited institutions (one private and two public institutions) to better understand the progress, barriers, and opportunities institutions face as they seek to improve outcomes and close equity gaps for transfer students. Funded by a grant from the ECMC Foundation, we’ll use lessons from this project to identify policy issues and generate case studies for educational sessions and training materials for peer reviewers and as a resource for accredited institutions. We anticipate that the study will elevate transfer and credit mobility as part of the accreditation conversation.
