Nancy Doorey, Public Member, has been deeply involved in public education governance and reform efforts for more than thirty years. She has taught at the elementary, secondary and higher education levels and served a total of 14 years on a state and a local school board in Delaware. Over the past decade, she has served as a consultant in the areas of policy, assessment design and evaluation, and governance to states and large policy and reform organizations, including WestEd, the Fordham institute, the Mid-Atlantic Comprehensive Center, and Cross & Joftus. Between 2009 and 2014, she co-led the Center for K-12 Assessment & Performance Management at ETS which, as a public service, built understanding about advances in testing that support improved teaching and learning. Nancy received a Master of Arts in Teaching in elementary education from Simmons College, a Certificate of Advanced Studies in computer science from Harvard University Extension, and completed doctoral studies in educational leadership at Columbia University (ABD).
