Nicole J. Jones, Public Member, brings multisector leadership and experiences, having had a diverse career encompassing various higher education, philanthropy, nonprofit, government and board/commission appointments.  She currently is Senior Special Assistant at the State Controller’s Office. Additionally, she recently served as a community college trustee involved in restoring district accreditation, and selected president of the statewide African American California Community College Trustees charged with promoting policies addressing educational access and student success throughout system.  She received her bachelor’s degree from University of California, Berkeley and a master’s degree from City University of New York, Baruch College.
