For the first Right to the Point meeting we are honored to host Dr. Jacqueline Brooks for a discussion of equity, race and ethnicity through a sociologically mindful lens. Jackie is an assistant professor of sociology at California State University, Sacramento, and her scholarship addresses the experiences of marginalized groups, highlighting the various forms of intersecting forms of oppression that shape their lives. She is a co-author of the recently released book Race and Ethnicity: The Sociological Mindful Approach. Jackie is also a graduate of Cohort 10 of WSCUC’s Assessment Leadership Academy.
