A guide to accompany the Accreditation Reviews for Institutions within a System Policy, entitled Institutions within Systems Governance Guide, has been approved by the Commission for circulation to the region for comment. This guide will be considered by the Commission during its February 2018 Meeting.

A working group of Commissioners created this guide, which grew out of earlier discussions about the Governing Board Policy. (On this policy, see this announcement.) The guide includes sections on the nature of academic culture, scope of responsibility and limitations of system governing boards, ethics, board effectiveness, and system offices.
