On April 23, 2025, the presidential administration issued an Executive Order directing the Secretary of Education to take actions related to accreditation. WSCUC is actively assessing the implications of the order on our accreditation Standards and the institutions we serve to ensure our Standards and practices remain in compliance with state and federal law.

WSCUC remains committed to assuring educational quality, institutional effectiveness, and the success of every student. Our Standards emphasize academic excellence and institutional integrity in service of student success and meaningful student outcomes. We are working diligently to provide clear guidance on our Standards for all accredited and candidate institutions, maintaining our focus on student success.

We will keep member institutions informed as we assess the implications of the order.
