Ron Kaufmann, PhD, is Associate Dean for Programs and Curriculum in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of San Diego, and Professor of Environmental and Ocean Sciences. In this administrative role, he oversees academic program review for the College, which includes 19 departments and three interdisciplinary programs. He also chairs the College’s assessment team (A-Team), which works with departments to conduct annual curricular assessment for 29 undergraduate majors, USD’s Honors Program and three graduate programs. In addition, he serves on USD’s University Assessment Committee, which coordinates assessment activity across all academic and non-academic units, and WSCUC Executive Committee, which includes the ALO and manages USD’s accreditation reaffirmation process.
