Hector L. Sambolin, Jr. currently serves as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Academic Success & Assessment at Pomona College in Claremont, California. He is also the Director of the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Program for the Claremont Colleges and Director of the Sage Fellows Peer Academic Coaching Program. Dr. Sambolin’s areas of expertise include higher education assessment, ethical leadership, diversity, equity & inclusion, student academic success, student & faculty cohort programming, and data analytics. He received his Ph.D. in educational leadership with an emphasis on higher education from The Pennsylvania State University. His dissertation studied the ethical decision making of university presidents.
