    July 9, 2026 - WSCUC

The WASC Senior College and University Commission has granted initial accreditation to four institutions spanning multiple countries and encompassing distinct fields of study: Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires (INSEAD), Kansas Health Science University, Southwestern Law School, and Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla. The newly accredited institutions reflect the breadth of WSCUC’s community and the Commission’s emphasis on rigorous evaluation grounded in institutional mission.

“WSCUC accreditation represents a significant institutional commitment to quality, student success, and continuous improvement,” said Maria Toyoda, WSCUC President and CEO. “Our mission-centered approach recognizes that institutions serve students in different ways and in different contexts. As institutions across the U.S. and around the world seek WSCUC accreditation, our accredited community is strengthened by the perspectives and experiences they bring.”

The Commission’s decision follows a comprehensive institutional review process that includes self-study, peer review, and on-site evaluation. WSCUC accreditation affirms that institutions meet high standards for effectiveness and student outcomes.

Each institution brings a distinct mission and history to WSCUC:

  • INSEAD is one of the world’s leading graduate business schools, offering MBA, executive, master’s, and doctoral programs through a global model that connects students, faculty, and alumni across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America.
  • Kansas Health Science University, through the Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine (KansasCOM), is preparing future osteopathic physicians to meet the health needs of communities in Kansas and beyond. A member of the Community Solution Education System, KansasCOM is the first osteopathic medical school in Kansas. WSCUC accredits four other institutions in The Community Solution system.
  • Southwestern Law School, based in Los Angeles, has provided legal education since 1911. Southwestern is known for expanding access to legal education through flexible pathways.
  • Founded in 1973, the Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla is a private, nonprofit university located in Puebla, Mexico, offering more than 40 undergraduate programs alongside a range of master’s and doctoral degrees.

Additional information about each institution, including Commission actions and team reports, is available in WSCUC’s institutional directory.
