In late 2016 and early 2017 four new staff members joined WSCUC.

Henri Okinishi joins WSCUC as the new Information Systems Manager. He has worked as an IT professional in higher education and the non-profit sector for over 20 years. His diverse IT background includes experience in the areas of desktop support, systems administration and web/database programming.

Tamela Hawley is a new Vice President with WSCUC. She served most recently as Vice Chancellor for Institutional Effectiveness and Student Success at the San Jose Evergreen Community College District. For over twenty years she has held leadership roles in higher education, including faculty in the College Student Personnel Department at the University of Maryland; Associate Dean at Trinity College in Washington, DC; and Dean of Institutional Research at Prince George’s Community College.

WSCUC’s new Associate Vice President for Educational Programming is David Chase. He replaces Melanie Booth who now serves as Executive Director at The Quality Assurance Commons. David joins WSCUC after serving as the Vice Dean, Academic Affairs at The American Film Institute Conservatory; Senior Associate Director, Institutional Effectiveness, at the University of the Pacific and over 16 years as Assistant Dean at the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music.

Lori Williams comes to her new Vice President role at WSCUC with over 25 years’ experience in education. Lori will serve as liaison to member institutions as well as work on strategic and policy initiatives. Most recently, she served as Provost and ALO at Ashford University in San Diego. Previous positions include Vice Provost of Curriculum Development and Innovation at Kaplan University, Vice President of Product Strategy and Development at Laureate Education, Executive Director of the Center for Student Success at Walden University, and administrative roles at Saint Michael’s College and Middlebury College.
