Roles and Responsibilities of Governance Committee include:

Report on its overall effectiveness with attention to its composition, governance structures and process, culture, functionality, relations with staff, future priorities, and discipline.

Advise about policies and strategies to strengthen WSCUC and empower the Commission to advance its mission and meet its obligations related to good governance principles.

Advise about strategies to increase individual Commissioner effectiveness and abilities to work collaboratively with their peers.

Develop a conflict of interest policy and disclosure form and recommend it to the Commission.

Evaluate the Commission’s composition, identify needs of the organization, and advise to help ensure that the Commission has the necessary diversity, perspectives, experience, skills, maturity and judgment to effectively pursue its duties in planning and oversight.
