WSCUC decided in February 2020 to be the first regional accreditor to accept applications from institutions anywhere in the US. WSCUC now welcomes interest from US and international institutions that share WSCUC’s dedication to advancing equity and inclusion, evidence-driven approaches to student success, and innovation. This decision followed the US Department of Education’s policy change to allow regional accreditors to change their geographic scope without Department approval.
