Kristine Chase

Kristine Chase is a Professor of Economics in the Graduate Business Programs at Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga. Her teaching and research focus is on banking and monetary policy, as well as the economics of higher education. At Saint Mary’s since 1985, she has served as Economics Department chair, Business School dean, and CFO/VP for Administration. She was the founding director of the Center for the Regional Economy at Saint Mary’s. Since 2000, Ms. Chase has served as the financial and governance specialist on numerous WSCUC accreditation teams; she has also served on the WSCUC Eligibility, Interim Review and Financial Review committees. Her experience includes service as Trustee of the Contra Costa Community College District, and she is currently on the board of Goodwill Industries of the Greater East Bay, where she chairs the Finance and Administration Committee. Ms. Chase received her B.A. and M.A. degrees in Economics from UC-Davis, and her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park.
