WSCUC recognizes that institutions are engaged in planning spring 2022 instructional schedules and have questions about possible extensions of temporary authorization for remote instruction due to disruptions from Covid-19. The US Department of Education allowed accrediting agencies to provide such temporary authorization through December 31, 2021. The Department of Education has not provided guidance regarding temporary authorization for remote instruction beyond the end of the 2021 calendar year. WSCUC is actively seeking such information and will be in contact with our institutions as soon as that information is available. WSCUC remains committed to providing flexibility for our institutions to the extent possible.
