John Hausaman

Vice President

John Hausaman joined the WSCUC staff as Director of Substantive Change and Committee Relations in 2016 and became a Vice President in 2026. John oversees WSCUC’s Substantive Change process for institutions seeking to implement initiatives such as new programs, new modalities of instruction, new instructional locations, and changes to organizational structure including changes of mission, ownership, control, and mergers. In addition, he is also the agency’s primary liaison to other higher education agencies. Prior to joining the WSCUC staff, he held various roles for another institutional accreditor, the Higher Learning Commission, including program management for assessment of student learning initiatives, educational programming, and communications. John earned his B.A. from Saint Xavier University, his M.S. in Public Services Management from DePaul University, and is a Juris Doctor candidate.
