Peter Senkbeil serves as Vice President, Special Assistant to the President at Concordia University Irvine, where he leads new academic program development, represents the university in community and government relations, helps with grant writing, and leads special projects and initiatives. Dr. Senkbeil previously served for four years as Provost and ten years as Associate Provost at Concordia; that time included an eight-year stint as Accreditation Liaison Officer.  Dr. Senkbeil has also served on numerous WSCUC visiting teams.

Dr. Senkbeil has held a faculty appointment in Concordia’s Theatre Department since 1992 and has directed more than 30 plays at the university. He holds a B.A. in Communication and Theatre from Concordia University–Chicago, and both an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Theatre and Drama from Northwestern University.
