• Community of Practice for Advancing Learning Outcomes Initiative

    June 29, 2017 - WSCUC

The first convening of WSCUC’s Community of Practice for Advancing Learning Outcomes Initiative took place on April 18, preceding the Academic Resource Conference in San Diego. We welcomed Natasha Jankowski, Director of the National Institute for Learning Outcomes Assessment (NILOA), as our guest speaker, along with nearly 30 participants from the Community of Practice. Geoff Chase, David Chase, and Errin Heyman represented WSCUC and guided group discussions with Natasha on her presentation and its implications to the Community of Practice projects: challenges, trends, and next steps. Responses to the session were positive, and we are excited to get this important project off and running!

The Community of Practice is a three-year project funded by a grant from the Lumina Foundation. Twenty projects representing 21 institutions from across the WSCUC region are participating in the first cohort. Updates on the project and the work of members of the community will be posted here.
