Taiwo Ande

Taiwo Ande Ph.D., serves as the Senior Associate Provost and Accreditation Liaison Officer at California Lutheran University, where he provides strategic oversight for a diverse portfolio of academic and administrative units including the Office of Educational Effectiveness and Institutional Research, Faculty Development, the Pearson Library, and the University Writing Center. Additionally, he oversees the University Galleries, the Center for Equality and Justice, and the Center for Academic Service-Learning,

Taiwo has about three decades of corporate and higher education experience in and outside the United States. Before joining California Lutheran University in 2020, he held key leadership roles including Dean of Institutional Effectiveness at Southern California University of Health Sciences and Associate Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness at Florida A&M University. His extensive background also includes administrative and faculty positions at the University of Mary Washington, Patrick Henry Community College, and Indiana State University, following his initial appointment as a Lecturer at Ogun State University in Nigeria.

Dr. Ande holds a Ph.D. in Leadership and Higher Education Administration from Indiana State University, as well as an MBA and an MS in Information Science from the Keller Graduate School of Management. He also earned a Master’s in Geomorphology and a Bachelor’s in Geography from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Beyond his campus responsibilities, he remains committed to service through his work on the Board of Directors of the Lutheran Social Services of Southern California.
