Stephanie Huie
Vice President
Dr. Stephanie Huie, Vice President, joined WSCUC in January 2020. She is responsible for data strategies, including developing metrics and presenting information through interactive dashboards. Additionally, she manages the accreditation review process for international institutions. In her position, Dr. Huie supports evidence-based decision making and helps implement policies that align with WSCUC’s standards for quality assurance and institutional effectiveness. Dr. Huie joined WSCUC in January 2020, following service at The University of Texas System Administration, where she was Vice Chancellor for the Office of Strategic Initiatives. There, she led system wide initiatives focused on improving access to comprehensive academic and financial information to help students and families make informed decisions that support post-graduation employment and success. Previously, Dr. Huie held multiple leadership roles at Huston Tillotson University, including Interim Associate Provost for Academic Affairs, Director of Institutional Research and Assessment, and Accreditation Liaison. In these capacities, she led major institutional initiatives, including revision of the university’s strategic plan and a successful reaffirmation of accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Earlier in her career, Dr. Huie worked as a research professional with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and the Southwestern Educational Development Laboratory (SEDL), contributing to research and evaluation projects. Dr. Huie earned her bachelor’s degree in anthropology from The University of Texas at Austin, where she also completed her master’s and doctoral degrees in sociology. She is a graduate of Harvard University’s Institute for Education Management (IEM) and has completed the planning certification program through the Society for College and University Planners (SCUP).
